3/15/2023 0 Comments La clippers roster![]() ![]() ![]() Last season, Los Angeles found success in their frontcourt because they had a really solid one-two punch with Ivica Zubac and Isaiah Hartenstein. Having the ability to score in the paint and out on the perimeter is what separates Cousins from others and the Clippers could absolutely use this kind of play from a backup center behind Ivica Zubac simply because Zubac is a non-factor outside of the paint. He had a breakout 2020-21 season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, averaging 8.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game and has since played for both the Dallas Mavericks and Cleveland Cavaliers. Even if the forward produces his usual numbers, his availability is going to move him down a few spots in most rankings. The first option that comes to mind for the Clippers right now in regards to this final roster spot is signing Moses Brown to a guaranteed contract, especially since he is already on Los Angeles’ roster.īrown signed an Exhibit-10 contract with the Clippers this offseason, meaning that he is currently on a training camp deal with the team, one that could possibly be converted to either a two-way deal or an actual contract to be on the 15-man roster.Īlready having second-round pick Moussa Diabate on a two-way contract, it seems very likely that Brown will not earn the second two-way spot on this team and will in fact have a real shot at competing for their final roster spot.Ī lengthy 7-2 center, Moses Brown has made a name for himself in recent years because of his rebounding and rim-protection abilities. Fantasy managers have to assume he’ll follow some sort of load management program, meaning he’s not going to play every game. Leonard has never played a full 82-game season, and he’s played 60 games or less since the leg injury which led to his eventually departure from San Antonio. Fantasy basketball player to watch: Kawhi Leonard Norman Powell, Robert Covington and Reggie Jackson will also be looked at for these spots. The remaining two spots can be filled by numerous guys, with Wall and Nicolas Batum likely to be the first choices. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are locks, as is Ivica Zubac. Anything short of that will be considered a failed season. The Clippers expect to be back in the playoffs and compete for the NBA championship. There’s a lot of talent and potential lineups for Tyronn Lue to use here, and that makes this a dangerous team to face in the playoffs. The Clippers didn’t lose anybody big, so there’s no a question fo how to manage this rotation. Wall has playoff experience and can provide strong defense as well, which is important for this group. We’ll see exactly how healthy he is after not playing a lot over the last few seasons, but this could be a huge boost for the Clippers. Wall got his buyout from the Rockets and joins LA as the starting point guard.
